A cookbook! Well, of sorts.
After I got sick, I had to make some radical changes to my diet (essentially Whole30 style). I started with finding specific recipes for each meal and following them to a T, but so many of the “healthy” recipes that I found required expensive ingredients, an hour or more of standing up in the kitchen to make, or only used a little bit of something (which meant the rest of it went to waste).
So I started… winging it. Thankfully I grew up in the kitchen learning from the best (lookin’ at you, Mom!) and had a solid foundation of cooking skills, so the more I winged (wung?) it, the more comfortable I became with whipping up this or that with whatever I had in the fridge, which made it much easier to stick to a healthy eating plan AND a budget.
